Letter to the Editor: Do something about floodwater backup in Decorah

:Why are Decorah water and sewage rates being raised on July 1st if the city can barely maintain adequate preventative control of their sewers backing up and causing major flooding on various streets such as Valley Drive?
 
Are the increased rates and proceeding funds going to be used to be put in a new stormwater and sewage system?
 
Flash flooding happens quickly, and every year the city of Decorah seems to suffer the problem of flooding in particular areas.  It's time for City Council to finally do something about this long-standing problem."
