Mayo Clinic has been named a "Yellow Ribbon Company"

Mayo Clinic has been named a "Yellow Ribbon Company" — the first Minnesota health care organization to receive this recognition.

Mayo received this recognition in connection with its participation in the "Beyond the Yellow Ribbon Program," which was started in Minnesota by the Minnesota National Guard. This program creates awareness of the need to connect service members and their families with community support, training, services and resources.

Mayo Clinic has a long history of supporting the military, starting with Dr. William Worrall Mayo, who served during the Civil War.
