Ice Hut owner asks for permission to park the truck near Trout Run Trail

Food trucks have become more popular in recent years. Decorah has had mobile food trailers in recent years—including this summer's"Ice Hut." 

Owner Stacie Chen has contacted the Decorah Parks andRecreation Department about setting up her ice machine trailer adjacent to theTrout Run Trail.  The request is being referred to the Decorah CityCouncil, which has already handled similar questions in the past.  Thereare a set of guidelines that apply to how food trucks must be parked—but thetrucks themselves are permitted, so long as the guidelines are followed.
