The Decorah Community School Board approved the 2015-16 Instructional Fees for Decorah Schools at its Monday night meeting.

The textbook fee increase follows a pattern of the Board addressing textbook fees every three years.

• TK-4 increased from $34 to $40.
• Middle School, grades 5-8, increased from $49 to $55
• High School increased from $53 to $60.

Superintendent Haluska noted that the textbook fees are in the lower third of conference school fees. He also wanted people to know that "there are always textbooks," even if some of them are online.

School lunches for students will increase by $.05.

The TK – 12 activity fee, which has not been increased since 2011-12, will increase from $30 to $35. It remains the lowest in the conference.

Drive Tek driver education fees increased from $310 to $320.
