Winneshiek County and the rest of Northeast Iowa for the most part avoided any problems with flooding caused by Thursday's day-long rainfall.
The National Weather Service Office says Decorah officially received 1.02 inches of rain over 24 hours.
The highest rainfall totals in Northeast Iowa were recorded in Elkader, which got 1.73 inches of rain. Some towns in Southwest Wisconsin received over two and a half inches of rainfall. Minor flooding was recorded at several locations in Southwest Wisconsin.
The Upper Iowa River at Decorah remained well below flood stage Friday. No reports of flooding in Northeast Iowa were received by law enforcement agencies.
