The driver of Wednesday morning's serious traffic accident on Frankville Road one mile south of 140th Street is listed in "stable" condition at Gundersen Health Systems in La Crosse.
57-year-old Jeffrey Larsen of Shakopee, Minnesota was driving a tanker truck around 9:45 a.m. when he lost control, left the roadway, entered and ditch and hit a field access driveway. The tanker rolled over and came to rest on the driver's side, but the contents of the tanker spilled at the scene.
The Medlink helicopter landed at the scene of the accident and took Larsen to Gundersen Health Systems in La Crosse.
The Iowa State Patrol, Winneshiek County Sheriff's Department, Allamakee County Sheriff's Department, Decorah and Frankville Fire Departments, Winneshiek County Ambulance, Iowa DOT Enforcement and Iowa DNR all responded to the accident.
The Iowa State Patrol says the accident remains under investigation.
