Luther College has announced it will hold four performances as part of its School Matinee Performances for the 2015-16 season.
The performances will offer age-appropriate entertainment for youth ages two to 18. Area school students will have seating priority for school matinees; community members are welcome as space is available. Performances take place in the Center for Faith and Life Main Hall and each show is approximately one hour in length.
'From the Mixed-Up Files of Mrs. Basil E. Frankweiler'
10:00 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. Thursday, October 8th. Based on the Newbery Medal-winning children's novel, this musical follows Claudia Kincaid and her brother Jamie as they run away to the Metropolitan Museum of Art.
'Letters Home,' presented by Griffin Theatre
11:30 a.m. Friday, November 13th. Based on actual letters written by soldiers serving in the Middle East as well as their families. The performance is recommended for students in grades six to 12.
'The Berenstain Bears LIVE! in "Family Matters The Musical"'
10:00 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. Thursday, January 28th. This new colorful musical is recommended for ages two to seven.
'Skippyjon Jones, Snow What (and the Seven Chihuahuas)'
10:00 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. Tuesday, March 8th. A musical twist on the classic Snow White tale that is recommended for students ages two to eight.
