Copies of "The Heart of Everything That Is: The Untold Story of Red Cloud" are now available for checkout at the Decorah Public Library.  The History Book Club will meet at 6:30 p.m. Thursday, June 18th, to discuss the book.  The group is open to the public and newcomers are encouraged to attend.

Red Cloud was the only American Indian in history to defeat the United States Army in a war, forcing the government to sue for peace on his terms. In "The Heart of Everything That Is," Bob Drury and Tom Clavin trace the events leading to Red Cloud's War and provide intimate portraits of the many lives Red Cloud touched, including Jim Bridger, William Tecumseh Sherman and Crazy Horse. At the center of the story is Red Cloud, fighting for the very existence of the Indian way of life.

Call the library at 382-3717 for more information.
