Cedar Falls man ticketed after accident causes $10,000 in damages

23-year-old Aung Htet of Cedar Falls has been given a ticket for Failure to Obey a Stop Sign after an accident on Pulpit Rock Road and Highway 52 Monday morning.

Decorah Police say Htet failed to yield from the stop sign on Pulpit Rock Road, making a left turn onto Highway 52 and striking a truck owned by Dave Ryan Construction of Decorah, driven by 61-year-old Rickey Mensink of Harmony.

The collission caused $7,500 in damages to Htet's vehicle and $2,500 in damages to the Dave Ryan Construction truck, but no injuries.
