Winneshiek Medical Center is pleased with the results of skin cancer screenings

Winneshiek Medical Center officials say they're please so many people took advantage of a recent skin screening at the hospital.

Dr. William Remington and Dr. James Ott staffed the skin screening, which doubled the number of people it had expected to serve, eventually screening 72 people.

Clinic Administrator Dave Rooney said the screenings turned up "a couple of melanomas."  WMC Chief Administrative Officer Lisa Radtke said that was good news because "they were people noit likely to come in otherwise."
