Decorah student Karl Sand receives Adam Bohr Scholarship

Karl Sand of Decorah has been awarded the 2015 Adam J Bohr Memorial Engineering Scholarship.  Sand is the son of Dan and Carole Sand.
 
The scholarship is given by the Bohr family and McClure Engineering Company of Clive in honor of Adam J Bohr.   Sand will receive $4,000, paid over two years, for his pursuit of a mechanical engineering degree from Iowa State University.

Bohr graduated from Decorah High School and received his Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering from Iowa State University.  He was a successful partner with McClure Engineering Company, managing the North Liberty office before passing away in 2010.

The scholarship was started in 2011 by the Bohr family and McClure Engineering Company.  It is open to students in Decorah.
