Two Decorah students donate stuffed animals to the hospital

Two Decorah students, Addysen Finholt and Lauren McConnell, have donated a number of stuffed animals to Winneshiek Medical Center.

Addysen had surgery on her arm a few years ago and received a soft stuffed animal to comfort her while she was in the hospital.  Because that gift meant so much to her, she decided to do a local fundraiser to purchase stuffed animals for kids who are patients at Winneshiek Medical Center.

Addysen and Lauren canvased their neighborhood for donations and used their funds to purchase and donate stuffed animals, which they delivered to WMC. "We even did the 'hug test' to make sure they are good," said Addysen.
