Six Luther College students, including one from Decorah, have each received a $1,000 Steven Mark Anderson Scholarship for the 2015-16 academic year.  The scholarship benefits Luther College students involved in Student Support Services, a Federal TRIO program sponsored by the college for more than 40 years.

Chris Wieseler, a sophomore from Decorah, was one of the six recipients.  He has been involved with the Luther Diversity Center, serving as a peer mentor through the Connect for Success program. He plays the guitar and has shared his time and talent through his church and during Soup's On—a collaborative event between SSS, the Diversity Center, and the Luther College Woman's Club. He also enjoys playing soccer and has served as an intramural team captain. After graduating from Luther he plans to pursue a career in athletic training.
