Iowa DOT issues contract on project to redo Highway 52 from HIghway 9 to College Drive

HIghway 52 in Decorah will be getting a facelift soon.

The Iowa Department of Transportation has awarded a contract to Wicks Construction of Decorah in the amount of $6,262,511.29 for a project to repave Highway 52 from its intersection with HIghway 9 all the way north to the intersection with College Drive.

The work will involve the planing of existing pavement and laying of new pavement.  A total of 4.2 miles of HIghway 52 will be redone.

The contract begins before June 22nd and has 90 working days.  That means work will continue into the fall on the project.
