Helping Services for Northeast Iowa will be getting a new Executive Director as of June 15th.
Carson Eggland has worked at the Ronald McDonald House of Iowa City for the past 12 years. Says Eggland, "In many ways, Helping Services is no different than a Ronald McDonald House. The organization is providing vital services for families or individuals looking for some stability or comfort. By providing services such as prevention classes, family education lessons, or mentoring opportunities, the heart of the mission is the same at Helping Services – helping people overcome difficult situations by providing welcoming spaces and conversations.
Eggland will replace longtime Helping Services for Northeast Iowa Executive Director Dave Runyon, who earlier announced his plans to retire after 29 years guiding the nonprofit.
The agency will be holding an open house from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. June 18th at T-Bock's Bar & Grill's second floor to thank Runyon for his service and to welcome Eggland to the team.
