Decorah native Teresa Procter will perform in opera and musical in Pittsburgh

Decorah High School and Luther College graduate Teresa Procter has been selected for the Young Artist Program as part of Opera Theater Pittsburgh's Summerfest in Pittsburgh.

She will perform in a new eco-opera, "A New Kind of Fallout" by Tammy Ryan and Gilda Lyons.  This premiere work with a message about environmental issues is based on the book "Silent Spring" by Rachel Carson.

In addition to performing in "A New KInd of Fallout," Procter will also perform in "Damn Yankees" in July.
