Decorah School Board approves staff raises

On Tuesday afternoon the Decorah Community School Board approved salary package increases of 3.52 percent for support and administrative staff that paralleled the recent completion of the Board negotiation with the Decorah Education Association.

Support staff salaries, as a group, received the 3.52 package increase. A few salaries within that group were adjusted to make them more closely parallel those in other conference schools.

Salary packages with a 3.52 percent increase were applied across the board for administration, central office staff and other administrative staff.

Administration salaries included: Superintendent Mike Haluska, $160,070; Middle School Principal Leona Hoth, $93,965; Assistant High School Principal/Athletic Director Adam Riley, $84,565; High School Principal Kim Sheppard, $114,685; Carrie Lee Elementary Principal Cheryl Miller, $80,165; John Cline and West Side Elementary Principal Rick Varney, $96,685; Director of Technology Kurt Devore, $78,516; and  Facilitator/Instruction and Assessment Dana Spry, $64,780.
