48-year-old Tyrone Wilson of Postville made an initial court appearance Tuesday morning on charges filed in connection with the robbery of State Bank in Calmar.

Appearing before District Court Judge Margaret Lindgren, Wilson heard charges of second degree robbery read into the record against him.  That is a Class C felony, which in Iowa is punishable by a prison term of up to ten years and a fine of $1,000 to $10,000.

Wilson had Charles Kelly of Postville named as a court-appointed attorney.  A preliminary hearing on the charges against him will be held at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, May 28th.  Wilson remains in custody in the Winneshiek County Jail.
