City Hall's handicapped parking questioned

Decorah City Hall has a handicapped parking space--right in front of several steps.

That situation has been questioned by Decorah resident Janelle Pavlovec, who says the handicapped parking space is also too narrow.

City Administrator Chad Bird says the confusion about the width of the handicapped parking space might arise from part of the space being blacktopped and the rest in concrete.

While this particular handicapped parking space is in front of a set of steps, there are two other handicapped parking spaces at City Hall that are directly in front of the Law Enforcement Center and a hallway that has a ramp into city offices.
