Decorah students get treated to hamburgers by the Winneshiek County Cattlemen's Association

If you passed by a school in Decorah on Friday morning, you might have wondered if someone was holding a cookout.  The answer to that question is, "Yes."

In honor of National Beef Month, members of the Winneshiek County Cattlemen on Friday grilled hamburgers which were served to students in the entire school district.  The Cattlemen cooked 1,700 hamburgers, half of which used locally-raised beef.

Members of the Cattlemens Association brought outdoor grills and cooked the hamburgers of the kids.
