OK, let's get this out of the way right away—Mumford & Sons will be performing next month in Waverly instead of in Decorah and there's nothing anyone can do about that. No sense "beating a dead horse!"
But when rumors surfaced that Mumford & Sons might be performing a concert in Decorah, a number of people said, "That's no big deal." Now comes news that points out just how wrong these statements were.
The Billboard 200 chart ranks the most popular albums of the week. The latest Billboard top 200 not only shows Mumford & Sons' new CD, "Wilder Mind," in the top slot, it reports that the group sold 249,000 "album units" in the week ending May 10th. That makes it the highest-selling rock album this year. (Two rap albums had higher sales.) The highest-selling rock album the past decade? Mumford & Sons' 2012 release, "Babel," which sold a whopping 600,000 copies.
"Wilder Mind" includes the single "Believe," which has reached No. 1 on both the Alternative Songs and Adult Alternative Songs Billboard charts.
