History book club reading about Roman Republic now available at Decorah Library

Copies of a book about the Roman Republic are now available at the Decorah Public Library.
 
The Decorah Public Library history book group will discuss Tom Holland's "Rubicon: The Last Years of the Roman Republic" at 6:30 p.m. Thursday, May 28th, on the 2nd floor of the library.  Copies of the book are available for checkout at the front desk or may be purchased from a local bookseller. The group is open to the public and newcomers are encouraged to attend.
 
Holland's book captures the suspense and drama of Rome's most famous political rivalries, all the while featuring some of the most celebrated personalities in history- Julius Caesar, Cicero, Spartacus, Cleopatra, Brutus, Pompey, Virgil, and Augustus.
