Winneshiek Medical Center taking registrations for summer babysitting classes

Winneshiek Medical Center has begun taking registrations for summer babysitter trainings.
 
Three day-long babysitter trainings will be held this summer--Thursday, June 11th; Thursday, July 16th and Monday, July 27th.  Each class is held from 8:30 a.m. until 4:00 p.m. on the lower level of Winneshiek Medical Center.  The course is appropriate for youth ages 11 and older.  The cost of the class is $40 per child, which includes all materials for the day, lunch and a snack.
 
The class prepares students to face the challenge of babysitting.  Students learn the basics of babysitting, basic child care and first aid from trained instructors, first-responders/paramedics and law enforcement.

Students may register for any class by calling the WMC Volunteer Services department at 563-387-3036.  Pre-registration is required because spots in the class are limited.
