Sheriff's Department looking for public's help in car break-in theft

The Winneshiek County Sheriff's Department says someone broke into Krista Reinsvold's silver 1999 Dodge Avenger Sunday evening or Monday morning after it had a flat tire on Highway 139.

Reinsvold pulled off the road at the intersection with County W-14 at approximately 6:45 p.m. Sunday.  Because stroms were heading to Winneshiek County, the weather did not permit her to deal with the flat tire at that time.  She locked the vehicle.

Sometime between 6:45 p.m. Sunday and 11:35 a.m. Monday the vehicle was broken into and the cd/mp3 player was removed from the console.   If you have any information related to this theft, pleasecall the Winneshiek County Sheriff's Office at (563) 382-4268
