April was warm and wet in Decorah

Temperatures in Decorah in April averaged 49.3 degrees, according to weather observer Dr. Richard Bernatz at Luther College.

Bernatz says temperatures ranged from 29 degrees on April 14th to 79 degrees on April 1st, but overall were 2.1 degrees above average for April.  Compared with April of 2015, 34 Aprils were warmer and 87 were cooler.

Decorah got 3.51 inches of precipitation in April--0.38 inches more than average.  There were eight days with measurable precipitation, including April 20th, when 1.18 inches of rain fell.
