Emergency Preparedness drills held

The Winneshiek Emergency Preparedness Coalition Thursday evening helped to hold an exercise to test the emergency response systems of Winneshiek Medical Center and Winneshiek County Public Health.  Thursday evening's exercise ran from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.  It involved emergency and medical personnel from communities throughout Winneshiek County, including agencies from Decorah, Calmar, Castalia and Frankville.  Most of the training and testing occurred in the Ossian area and at Winneshiek Medical Center.  The exercise did not interrupt normal operations of Winneshiek Medical Center.
