Lower speed limit for Twin Springs Road?

Complaints about speeding motorists may result in a lower speed limit on part of Twin Springs Road.

Neighbors have asked city and county officials to study a lower speed limit.  Current the limit is 35 miles an hour, but it might be lowered to 25 miles an hour.

The road is used heavily, with people driving to Twin Srpings Park and Mc Caffrey's Dolce Vita.  There is also much pedestrian traffic because of the nearby Pulpit Rock Campground.

However, the road is both within the City of Decorah and within Winneshiek County, so any solution to concerns about speeding will require action by both local governments.
