First his SUV was in an accident--then it was broken into

Wednesday was not a good day for 22-year-old Keith Freilinger of Postville.

First he swerved to miss a deer while driving on Old Stage Road near 138th Avenue around 12:45 Wednesday morning.  His Chevy Blazer entered a ditch, hit an embankment and rolled on its side.

Freilinger was not injured, but his troubles wouldn't end there.  He made arrangements to have his vehicle towed out later in the morning.  But before the tow truck arrived, someone entered the vehicle and took several of Freilinger's belongings.

The Winneshiek County Sheriff's Department now is asking for the public's help in identifying any people or any vehicle that may have stopped at the scene of the accident.
