Decorah Rotary Club donates trees along Trout Run Trail

Posted: Wed, Apr 22, 2015 8:26 AM

Decorah Trout Run Trail has five new trees, thanks to members of the Decorah Rotary Club.

The trees have been planted in memory of past members Warren Berg, Bob Cowie, Paul Hardy, Lyle Rodman and Dan Werner.  A dedication ceremony was held Saturday afternoon in the Bowstring Bridge Park located off Highway 9.  Plaques listing the names of each Rotary Club member for whom the trees were planted will be installed later this year.

The trees were purchased in part with funds raised through the Rotary Club's annual Loop de Loop half marathon, which is run on the Trout Run Trail and raises funds for Trout Run Trail projects.
