Decorah HS students do well at physics competition

Decorah High School students placed 4th as a team at the recent State of Iowa Physics Competition.

Approximately 120 students from 19 different schools took part in the competition at the University of Northern Iowa.  Decorah HS students Jane Kilarski and Lauren Bruneau earned 2nd place medals in the soda straw arm competition.  DHS students Melissa Holyoake and Ashley Gulrud brought home 3rd place medals in the bridge building competition.

The physics students are mentored by science teacher Tim Hayes.
