Andy Carlson is appointed Ward #3 city council representative

Longtime Decorah resident Andy Carlson was appointed to a seat on the Decorah City Council Monday night.

Carlson told city council members before the voting that he would work hard as a council member and asked for their support.  All five city council members attending the meeting (Chuck Lore was absent) then voted in favor of Carlson.

Carlson will serve as the chair of the city's Properties Committee, following Mayor Don Arendt's appointment of city council member Randy Schissel as chair of the Finance Committee and Tade Kerndt as chair of the Economic Development and Community Betterment Committee.
