Letter to the Editor: Thanks for the help with Post-Prom

Decorah Parks & Recreation Department CREW Advisor Erika Randall has submitted the following Letter to the Editor):

On behalf of CREW (Community Recreation EducationWorkshop), I would like to thank the community for supporting Decorah HighSchool's post prom party.

Thanks to generous donations from local businesses andindividuals as well as parent volunteers, students were treated to a full nightof fun following the Decorah High School grand march and dance. Financialsupport from the community allowed students to attend this event free ofcharge.

Students were entertained by hypnotist Erick Kand, and participated inminute-to-win-it games, casino games, a cash machine, and billiards while alsoenjoying snacks and the opportunity to win raffle prizes.

In addition to the Decorah community, I would like tothank Luther College and Marty's staff for hosting this event as well asmembers of the Luther College Football team for volunteering as game hoststhroughout evening.

CREW has been providing activities in a safe environmentfor local youth for over 30 years. This organization is made up of volunteersand is coordinated through the Decorah Parks and Recreation Department. If youwould like to make a donations or volunteer with CREW, please contact the Park-Recoffice at 382-4158.
