The Inwood Ballroom in Spillville later this spring will be hosting a Prom Night for persons with disabilities. The free evening of food, music and dancing, games and prizes will invited persons with disabilities from Winneshiek, Allamakee, Clayton, Fayette, Chickasaw and Howard counties.
Organizers say invitations have been distributed to the appropriate agencies such as Opportunity Homes, Spectrum and Mosaic/TASK as well as area churches, businesses and organizations. The prom night will be Saturday, May 2nd, at the historic Inwood Ballroom in Spillville.
RSVPs are requested by April 25th by calling Sadie Wermers 507-258-0558 or Ruth Kuhn 563-419-1905. Anyone who knows an individual with disabilities is encouraged to inform them of this event and RSVP.
This event is sponsored by the Civic Improvement Association/Inwood Ballroom - Spillville, The Depot Outlet - Decorah, and area churches, businesses, organizations and individuals. Any and all help would be welcomed and appreciated.
