"Most stunning footage ever" of Decorah bald eaglet hatch

The third of this year's Decorah bald eagle eggs has hatched.  "D23" was born on Thursday.

Raptor Resource Project Director Bob Anderson, who was at the controls of the Decorah Eagle Cam when the last egg of the season began to hatch, says "I think this was most stunning footage ever.  I was able to see that many schools were following the hatch.  The close ups of the then wet eaglet busting out of the shell even moved me."
