Decorah's Putnam Law Office adds two partners

The Putnam Law Office in Decorah is announcing that it is adding attorneys Erik Fern and Jeremy Thompson as partners, effective Wednesday.

With the change, the firm will have a new name--Putnam, Fern, and Thompson.  The firm was established by attorney Dale L. Putnam in 1987.

A native of St. Paul, Minnesota, Fern holds a bachelor's degree in political science and communication studies from Luther College and a juris doctorate from the Hamline University School of Law.  His practice includes family law, civil litigation, juvenile law, workers' compensation, real estate, personal injury, probate, and general trial practice.

A native of Monona, Iowa, Thompson holds a bachelor's degree in management from the University of Iowa and a juris doctorate from the St. Louis University School of Law.  His practice includes criminal defense, civil litigation, real estate, personal injury, family law, and general trial practice.
