A Decorah woman was airlifted to Gundersen Medical Center in La Crosse following a two-vehicle accident Wednesday evening that also injured the driver of the other vehicle.
26-year-old Korbin Paul was traveling south on HIghway 52 around 5:30 p.m. when she lost control of her car and traveled into the northbound lane. 43-year-old Rhonda Snitzler, who was traveling in the opposite direction, tried to avoid Korbi's vehicle, but struck it on the driver's side.
Paul was flown to La Crosse by helicopter, where she is listed in fair condition at Gundersen Hospital. Snitzler was taken to Winneshiek Medical Center by ambulance.
The Iowa State Patrol was assissted by the Wiunneshiek County Sheriff's Department, Decorah Police and the Winneshiek Medical Center ambulance.
