So what's the second sign of spring?

Whippy Dip owner Rosie Carolan says she's never postponed the opening of her restaurant.  Until Monday.  But ten inches of snow will do that.

Tuesday wasn't much better, with overnight freezing drizzle and snow.  But on Wednesday, Carolan was ready to do battle with spring weather that is forecast to reappear--at least on Sunday.  "We're opening on Thursday," she told decorahnews.com.  "No doubt."

So customers can head to the Whippy Dip and get a tornado--instead of a blizzard.
