Reception scheduled for outgoing Winneshiek County Sheriff Leon Bohr

A reception will be held Monday, March 30th for retiring Winneshiek County Sheriff Leon Bohr.  The event will be held in the foyer of the Winneshiek County Courthouse from 1:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m.

Bohr is wrapping up a 30-year-long career in law enforcement.  He joined the Decorah Police Department in 1985.  In 1993 he moved to the Sheriff's Department.  He became Sheriff in 2002, succeeding Floyd Ashbacher.  He has served as Sheriff for the past 12 years.
