Accident does $2,700 in damages

A rear end accident on Short Street at Highway 9 on Friday afternoon caused $2,700 in damages, according to Decorah Police.

They say a car driven by 17-year-old Zac Frana of Decorah struck the rear of a car driven by 78-year-old Frances Lee of Decorah.  Lee was making a right hand trun, but stopped to yield to traffic on Highway 9 when her car was struck by Frana's car.  Frana was not ticketed and neither driver was injured.
