$3.6 million bid on Pole Line Road paving is slightly below the estimated cost

If all goes according to plans, work should begin this summer on repaving another section of Pole Line Road in Winneshiek County.

Bids on the project were opened Tuesday in Ames at Iowa DOT headquarters—and the low bid came in just slightly below the estimate.  Mathy Construction of Onalaska, Wisconsin will charge $3.6 million for the project if their bid wins clearance from the Iowa DOT and from the Winneshiek County Board.
