Former Decorah Viking boys basketball coach Dave Brown will be heading to Iowa City on Saturday to make his pitch for $5,000 of start-up capital for his new business, which manufactures a Triversible jersey designed to outfit athletic teams.
Brown's business, "Triple Threat Threads," was chosen to attend the Iowa City meeting, which is being held by "Dream Big, Grow Here," a program of UNI Business and Community Service.
Brown told the Spencer Daily Reporter, "I'm sure I'll be nervous to present the Triversible concept to a room full entrepreneurs and business owners from across the state. But talking about the jerseys is easy for me as I really think it's a useful product for coaches who use three teams daily in their practices."
Cash awards will be given to first through third-place winners on Saturday, Winners of each category will then go on to pitch for grand prize money of $10,000.
