NICC Calmar's Office of Disability Services is hosting "Abilities Awareness Week" Monday through Thursday to promote awareness of persons with disabilities and to provide a forum for NICC students with disabilities to share their life and learning experiences.
The weeklong series of activities will feature disability advocates, a reunion for members of the Support Through the Encouragement of Peers (S.T.E.P.) organization, presenters on autism spectrum disorders and programs that share the importance of respect for diversity and community members with disabilities.
