The hit ABC-TV show "Dancing With the Stars" will start its newest season at 7:00 p.m. Monday--with scenes shot in Decorah.
Decorah resident Dave Jensen says producers contacted him several weeks ago about using his De Novo Barn as a rehearsal space for Chris Soules and Witney Carson. Soules is the Arlington, Iowa farmer who became famous by appearing on ABC's "The Bachelor." Carson is a professional dancers whose partner won the last "Dancing With the Stars."
The producers of the show explained they were looking for a place convenient for Soules to use for rehearsing his first dance with Carson. Jensen says the partners came to Decorah for five or six days and "hung out," spending time rehearsing their dance.
Jensen says Soules and Carson are very nice people and the stay with the film crew at the De Novo Barn worked well. "They snuck in (to Decorah) and snuck out," says Jensen.
Once again, the scenes shot at the De Novo Barn will appear on March 16th's premiere of "Dancing With The Stars."
