Hershey track and field meet in Decorah to get a new sponsor

For 37 years, Hershey has sponsored track & field meets in Iowa, including in Decorah.  But the company has decided to end that sponsorship.

Fortunately, a new sponsor has come forward for the meet in Decorah and other cities.  The "Live Healthy Iowa Kids Track Championships" will continue the tradition.

The track meets are free, held statewide in numerous locations, including in Decorah.  Winners at the local meets qualify for the state championships in Marshalltown on June 13th.

Partnering with parks and recreation departments and school districts, local meets are hosted in April and May. The state championship is hosted by the Marshalltown Parks and Recreation.

Live Healthy Iowa Kids Track Championships is sponsored and supported by the Iowa Sports Foundation, which also hosts the Iowa Games.
