Promoters for Mumford & Sons and the Gentlemen of the Road two-day music festival have announced plans for concerts in three other small towns in the United States besides Waverly this spring and summer.
The bands will visit Seaside Heights, New Jersey June 5th & 6th, along with the Flaming Lips and Alabama Shakes; Walla Walla, Washington from August 13th through August 16th, along with the Foo Fighters, plus Flaming Lips and about 27 other bands; and Salida, Colorado on August 21st and 22nd, along with the Flaming Lips.
So why all the visits to small towns in the United States? In a prepared statement the band said, "We get to put them on in towns not normally frequented by touring bands in busses or splitter vans. We deliberately look for towns that have something unique, or some vibe of which they are proud, explore them and enjoy what they have to offer."
Meanwhile, promoters also announced that tickets for the Waverly concert will go on sale at 10:00 a.m. this Friday, March 6th, at http://www.gentlemenoftheroad.com/stopovers/waverly/
