Decorah man named one of "Iowa's 100 Great Nurses for 2015"

A Decorah man who works as the Chief Nursing Officer at Central Community Hospital  in Elkader has has been named one of the 100 Great Iowa Nurses for 2015.

Kevin Rockwell has been selected to receive the award Sunday, May 3rd, in Des Moines.

The 100 Great Iowa Nurses award recognizes nurses who have made meaningful, lasting contributions to their patients, colleagues, and the nursing profession, and are viewed as mentors to other nursing professionals.

The awards were announced Monday as a prelude to National Nurses Week, which begins on May 6th and ends on May 12th (the birthday of Florence Nightingale).
