Waverly officials confirmed at a news conference Monday that Mumford & Sons will hold a two-day outdoor concert in the community this summer.
The Gentlemen of the Road tour will be in Waverly June 19th and 20th. Wartburg College VP of Marketing Graham Gardner said the lineup would also include "My Morning Jacket."
Waverly Mayor Charles D. Infelt told a 10:00 a.m. news conference "Being chosen as the Midwest location (for the music festival) is a tribute to Waverly's character and our town's momentum."
The concert is expected to bring 35,000 people to Waverly and could have up to a $30 million economic impact on the area.
