Posted: Mon, Mar 2, 2015 8:58 AM

Decorah Police were called to College Drive around 7:00 Saturday night after a mature deer crossed the road near Pool Street.  The deer missed a southbound car, but jumped and landed on a northbound car driven by 42-year-old Patty Cunningham of Harmony.

The deer hit the upper center of the car's windshield, along with the roof, dying from the collission.  The car suffered $3,000 in damages and had to be towed away.  Cunningham was not injured.
