Gundersen Health Systems ranked one of the top 50 hospitals in the country

Healthgrades® has announced Gundersen Health System is among America's 50 Best Hospitals™ for 2015. This achievement places Gundersen among the top 1 percent of hospitals nationwide for the second consecutive year.

Healthgrades analyzes the most current three years of publically available data about nearly 4,500 hospitals in the United Sttes in order to come up with its rankings.

According to Healthgrades, organizations which achieve the America's 50 Best Hospitals designation are differentiated by their overall clinical excellence and have exhibited superior performance in caring for patients across a broad spectrum of care—for a minimum of seven years. This demonstrates an institutional commitment to clinical quality by the organization, says Healthgrades.

Medicare/Medicaid patients who receive their care at hospitals which achieve Healthgrades' 50 Best Hospitals status had, on average, a 25.0 percent lower risk of dying, as measured across 19 rated conditions and procedures.
