Six are candidates for 2015 Winneshiek County Beef Queen, Little Miss Cowgirl

Winneshiek County Cattlemen have received two applications for 2015 Beef Queen and four applications for Little Miss Cowgirl.  The 2015 Beef Queen and Little Miss Cowgirl will be named at the upcoming Beef Banquet at Nob Hill.

17-year-old Joclyn Bushman of rural Fort Atkinson and 16-year-old Kenzie Hovden of rural Decorah are the two Beef Queen candidates.  Joclyn is the daughter of Chad and ManonBushman and a junior at South Winneshiek High School where she is active in volleyball, trap shooting and FFA.  Kenzie is the  daughter of Dale and TinaHovden and a past Little Miss Cowgirl.  She is aactive member in 4-H for the past six years, exhibiting beef at the county fair.

The candidates for Little Miss Cowgirl are Grace Gerleman, the 10 year old daughter of Myles andConnie Gerleman of rural Decorah; Alison Leibold, the 9 year old daughter of Mark and SusanLeibold of rural Fort Atkinson; Morgan Moen, the 9 year old daughter of Ron and Kathy Moenof rural Decorah; and Emma Schmelzer, the 9 year old daughter of Arthur andRhonda Schmelzer of rural Decorah.
